Course Overview

Beauty therapy is a thriving profession, and our beauty students here at LCFE are trained to the highest standard. Not only will you learn the theory and practice behind beauty treatments, but you will also develop the professional standards required by the industry.

Our Beauty Department is proud to have won two international awards: CIBTAC Centre of the Year and CIBTAC Tutor of the Year.

You will also have the opportunity to complete 10 days of work experience in a salon environment.

Our Aesthetics course runs over one year and provides extensive qualifications across a range of beauty disciplines.

Duration

One-year, full-time course.

Work Experience

Students will complete 10 days of work experience in a salon environment.

Students may also have the opportunity to take part in additional courses throughout the year, such as Gel Nails, Spray Tanning and Semi-Permanent Lashes.

Mature applicants are welcome

Progression

There is a fantastic opportunity here at LCFE to continue your studies on site through our Complementary and Advanced Beauty Therapy course.

There are a number of career opportunities available on completion of this course. There is a strong demand for highly qualified facial therapists both nationally and internationally, with the additional option of self-employment.

Course Fees

Kits, books and uniform: approximately €680
Registration fee: €50, non-refundable
ITEC and CIBTAC examination fees: approximately €230

QQI examination fee: Students are exempt if they have one of the following:

A current Medical Card
Written confirmation that they are receiving the Back to Education Allowance
